Brigid Turner
Brigid Turner is a highly-regarded family lawyer combining a blue chip training with substantial commercial experience.
She became interested in family law whilst studying English at York University, when she spent two summer holidays enjoying work experience for Helen Ward, widely regarded as the best family law practitioner in the UK.
Brigid qualified at City firm Penningtons in 1997 then joined Manches LLP which is currently ranked joint no 1 in the legal directories. She worked as an assistant to Jane Craig (former National Chair of Resolution, now Head of Manches family department) for four years before leaving London to join the Oxford office of Boodle Hatfield in 2001.
Brigid was made an Associate after two years and then Partner in 2005. Brigid was one of two partners in the Oxford family law department which was rated in the top tier in the legal directories.
Brigid set up Brigid Turner & Co in 2009 with the aim of offering the highest quality advice to clients across South-East England, at the most competitive rates; in effect, a London service at a county rate.

Having studied Law and French in Oxford Vivien trained at Collyer-Bristow in London where she quickly developed an interest in family law. She stayed with the firm on qualification and was promoted to Associate in the highly ranked family team, working principally for Jeremy Levison and Simon Pigott. She joined the Mayfair office of Boodle Hatfield in 1998 and became partner there a year later helping to grow the matrimonial department from a small team into a thriving practice. She remained at Boodle Hatfield as the London partner of the family department for ten years before joining Brigid Turner & Co Ltd in July 2010.
Lorraine Barlow
Lorraine Barlow has recently joined the firm in the role of legal secretary, with over 20 years’ experience within an office environment, she has spent the last ten years as a legal assistant providing support to a range of departments including matrimonial, conveyancing, criminal, civil litigation and personal injury. Alongside being an avid Burnley FC supporter, in her spare time she enjoys walking, gardening, holidays in the sun and spending time with her cats.
Charlie Hirons
Charlie Hirons graduated from De Montfort University in 2001 with a BA Honours in Product Design. Having spent several years travelling the world with the Jaguar Formula One team, she finally settled in London where she ran the office of Red Bull F1 Marketing.
Charlie was invaluable in the formation of Brigid Turner & Co Ltd and continues to undertake all aspects of management and support work for the firm.
In her spare time she enjoys all types of motorsport, horse riding, walking and swimming.
